KARACHI: Muslim FC ended Khan Research Laboratories’ (KRL’s) perfect start to the season when they held the three-time defending champions to a 1-1 draw in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) on Wednesday.

KRL, who began their title defence with two straight victories, took the lead when Izharullah found the back of the net five minutes before half-time at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad.

The champions, though, conceded a goal 12 minutes from time when Hanif levelled matters to earn a point for Muslim FC which inflated their tally to 10 points after seven matches.

KRL are a place and three points behind Muslim FC in fifth, level with National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and Afghan FC but ahead on goal difference.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) lead the fledgling table with 13 points, two ahead of Army and Karachi Port Trust (KPT).
