Polyethylene bags

Published October 22, 2014

POLYETHYLENE bags are extensively used in Pakistan, which is spending billions on the import of raw materials used in the plastic industry.

Our cities and towns are thus littered with plastic bags, which are found scattered all over our streets, roads, parks and bazaars. The worst is when these bags find their way to drains, sewers and nullahs, choking the flow of waste water.

The concerned organisations and departments must seek expert advice to avoid harmful effects of plastics in the interest of human health and environment.
