LAHORE: The Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA), in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), will hold an exhibition of handmade carpets at Pearl Continental Hotel from Oct 14.

TDAP chief executive S M Muneer will inaugurate the four-day Pakistan International Carpet Exhibition 2014, while Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will preside over the award distribution ceremony to be held the same evening (Oct 14), said chief organiser of the show, retired Maj Akhtar Nazir Cooki on Saturday.

PCMEA chairman Usman Ghani and senior vice-chairman Qamar Zia said the association desired participation of local people, new investors, students and the public in order to create awareness about the working and achievements of the carpet industry.
