i Spy: Dukhtar for Oscars

Good news for all those involved in the making of the film Dukhtar that recently premiered in the country. The Pakistani Academy Selection Committee has chosen it as the project worthy of being submitted for Oscar consideration in the Best Foreign Language Film Category at the 87th Academy Awards.

Directed by Afia Nathaniel, the movie has received mixed reviews from critics but won the majority vote of the Pakistani Academy Selection Committee members.

Congrats, team Dukhtar! Hope you earn a nod in the affirmative from the Oscar judges.
