TOBA TEK SINGH: Scores of PML-N activists and relatives of murdered local party leader, Imran Gujjar, blocked traffic on Toba-Chichawatni road at midnight on Saturday.

Gujjar and his gunman Ghulam Abbas were on Jhang Road in a jeep on Saturday night when two unidentified motorcyclists shot them dead near the Government College for Women.

The protesters demanded arrest of the killers within 24 hours and registration of a case against them under the Anti-Terrorism Act. Police officials assured them they would try their best to arrest the killers over which they dispersed.

Police on Sunday registered a case against five nominated and two unidentified men on the report of Asghar Gujjar, father of the PML-N leader, under sections 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act and 302, 324, 109, 148 and 149 of the PPC.

The nominated persons included Mazhar Manzoor Jajja, Sajid Billa, Usman Gujjar, Muhammad Ahmad and Ramzan Jani. City police said raids were being conducted to arrest the suspects.
