Welcome to Karachi

Published September 21, 2014

These days a film titled Welcome to Karachi is the talk of tinsel town in India.

Its producer Vashu Bhagnani has already spent quite a few crores in the pre-production stage of the film which is now marred by a tiny mishap.

Irrfan Khan was originally cast in the project to play the lead role. The film was about to go on floors on Sept 11.

But on Sept 4, Irrfan K called up the producer and said he couldn’t do the movie because of ‘creative differences’ and due to the fact that it’s being rushed, whereas he’d like to see good actors learning the ‘Karachi accent’ before the camera rolls.

This visibly upset Vashu B and he has openly said the actor has left him ‘high and ‘dry’ despite agreeing to the shooting dates.

Well, all we can say is, welcome to Karachi!
