Man shot dead in Gwadar

GWADAR: A radio and television wireman was gunned down on Tuesday while working in his shop situated in Dashti Electric Market in the main bazaar.

Police said that men riding a bike opened fire on Muhammad Sadiq, a radio and television electrician and immediately after, assailants fled from the scene.

The man hailing from Punjab received multiple bullets they said adding that it appeared target killing. The body will be sent to the deceased hometown in Punjab.

Law enforcement agencies began a search operation in the area to nab the killers.

Elsewhere, police defused a bomb planted at the roadside in the main shopping area of Turbat.

“A locally-manufactured bomb was planted at the roadside targeting vehicles of the security forces, police said. People informed the police about the presence of a bomb which was then defused by the bomb disposal squad.

The law enforcement agencies raided a shop in the main Turbat town and took into their custody a tailor master Barkat. It was not clear on what charges the tailor was arrested.
