FIR against Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: The capital police registered on late Tuesday night a criminal case against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, some federal ministers and police officials under an order issued by a district and sessions court.

On Monday, the district and sessions judge asked the Secretariat police to register the case while disposing of a petition filed by the Pakistan Awami Tehreek over the alleged killing of its three workers on Aug 30.

He also directed the police to strictly follow the law. According to police sources, the case was registered under Section 7 of the ATA and PPCs 302, 324, 148, 149.
