TAXILA: A proclaimed offender and drug addict, wanted in a case of attempted murder for the last five years, shot and injured four people of family, including a minor, in the limits of Hassanabdal police station on Tuesday.

Waheed Khan, a resident of Hassanabdal, reported to the police that the accused was an offender and a drug abuser. When Khan tried to stop the accused from continuing his addiction, he entered Khan’s house and opened indiscriminate fire.

Khan’s mother Nargis Bibi, uncle Shafeeq Khan, brother Haris Khan and seven-year-old nephew Muzzamil Ali received bullet injuries.

The injured were shifted to THQ Hospital, while Nargis Bibi was shifted to Rawalpindi because of her critical condition.

The police registered a case and started investigation.

Meanwhile, Wah Saddar police arrested a man, along with his mother and three sisters, for attempting to kill his wife in Mohabatabad area.

Mohammad Ramzan reported that his daughter had married the accused two years ago.

On Sunday, Ramzan’s son-in-law, along with his mother and three sisters, tried to kill his daughter. She was rescued by the neighbours who heard her screams and then shifted her to a local hospital.
