ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan said on Sunday that he will not allow Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to run the government smoothly, till his resignation.
Addressing the public gathering at the D-Chowk, the party chief claimed that no one can stop him creating a “new Pakistan” as he does not fear the parliamentarians, the police or the containers – which, he says, the government has placed to stop the people from participating in the sit-in.
“I want to tell the PML-N leadership that I will not leave my place, rather I will move forward if Nawaz Sharif does not step down,” he added.
Requesting the government to remove the containers as soon as possible, he said he will not be able to control his supporters if they decide to remove the containers on their own.
He repeated his previous statements about his failed attempts to seek help from Supreme Court, Election Commission of Pakistan, Election Tribunal and the Parliament to get justice. He also alleged the PML-N leadership of contesting 2008 election despite promising of a boycott.
He said that he is fighting against the status-quo, while continuing his struggle for justice, his only cause.
He claimed that former NAB Chief Fasih Bokhari and former ECP Secretary Kanwar Dilshad Ahmed have also said that 2013 elections had been rigged by PML-N.
Earlier, PAT Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri said that he was ready for dialogue, claiming that the government was delaying the dialogue process. “I believe in dialogue and I would like get justice through dialogue with the government,” he said, adding, “I am ready to talk with any government representative, including the prime minister and chief minister.”
However, he said that his demands will not change as he is fighting to get justice for the family of the martyrs of the Model Town incident.
He then announced that the government has agreed to talk to him regarding the Model Town incident. He also claimed that he was ready to sacrifice his life for the revolution and the rights of the people.
“If we fail to get justice, the participants of the revolution march will be buried within the premises of the Parliament House,” he announced.
