QUETTA: Two constables were gunned down in the industrial town of Hub late on Wednesday night, police said.

Constables Khurshid and Majeed were patrolling Sakran road area when they came under fire. They died on the spot.

“The police personnel were targeted when they were on official duty,” a senior police officer, Zia Man-dokhel, told Dawn, adding that the unidentified attackers were riding a motorcycle.

He said the incident seemed to be a case of targeted killing, adding that investigation had been launched.
