SUKKUR: The Board of Intermediate and Second­ary Education (BISE) Suk­kur on Tuesday announced the result of annual examinations-2014 of Higher Seco­n­d­ary School Certifi­cate Part-II (Class-XII) pre-medical and pre-engineering groups.

In pre-medical group, the first position was obtained with 967 marks by Sana­ullah Phull of Ever Shine Higher Secondary School, Ranipur; the second position with 963 marks by Javeria Fatima of Govern­ment Degree College for Women, Khairpur, and the third position with 961 marks by Kanwal of Pak-Turk International Schools and Colleges, Khairpur.

In pre-engineering group, the first position was grabbed with 970 marks by Rizwan Ahmed Langah of Government Superior Science College, Khairpur; the second position with 960 marks by Zubair Gul of Mazhar Muslim Higher Secondary School, Ranipur, and the third position with 959 marks by Qamar Maq­sood Sahito of Government Sachal Sarmast Degree College, Ranipur.

In pre-medical, 14,072 boy and girl candidates from Ghotki, Khair­pur, Naushahroferoze and Sukkur districts were registered while 14,051 candidates appeared in the examination and 21 candidates remained absent.

A total of 857 candidates passed in Grade-A1, 2,314 in Grade-A, 4,217 in Grade-B, 2,775 in Grade-C and 373 in Grade-D.

Total 10,536 candidates were passed while 3,187 declared fail. The result of 233 candidates was withheld in copying case while the result of 95 for want of documentation.

Pass percentage of boy candidates was 67.3, girl candidates 83.3 and the overall pass percentage was 74.98.

In pre-engineering, total 13,704 boy and girl candidates from Ghotki, Khair­pur, Naushahroferoze and Sukkur districts were registered while 13,689 appea­r­ed in the examination and 15 remained absent.

Total 517 candidates passed in Grade-A1, 2,160 in Grade-A, 3577 in Grade-B, 3,237 in Grade-C and 413 in Grade-D.

Total 9,904 candidates were passed while 3,322 declared fail. The result of 306 candidates was withheld in copying case while the result of 156 was withheld for want of documentation and 1 candidate’s result was withheld for some other query.

Pass percentage of boy candidates was 71.52, girl candidates 86.92 and the overall pass percentage was 72.35.
