KARACHI: Holders Tapal CC, inspired by deadly bowling from skipper Atif Maqbool and Zahid Mahm­ood, qualified for the final of the 27th Aga Khan Gymk­hana Ramazan Festival T20 with a 13-run defeat of Advance Telecom on Monday.

After making 160-7 in the first semi-final at the AKG Ground, Tapal CC dismissed Advance Telecom for 147 in 19.3 overs. Off-spinner Atif Maqbool was the architect of their triumph with four for 29, an effort that earned him man-of-the-match award.

The skipper was ably supported by leg-spinner Zahid who took three for 22.
