A FAMOUS film star in India is being prosecuted for killing a deer, while on this side of the border people destroy wildlife with impunity.

It appears from media reports that three cheetahs that crossed over from India have been killed by villagers in Badin and Nangarparkar. Perhaps we consider even the wild life crossing our border to be our enemies.

During the 2010 floods, a huge number of hog deer running for safety, were killed in upper Sindh. While other nations respect and preserve their wild life, we have over the years made our wild life extinct. We are a trigger-happy people ready to fire at anything that moves. Will this attitude ever change?
