QUETTA: A couple and their son were strangled to death allegedly by their relatives in Killi Almas near Quetta, police said on Sunday.

Neighbours informed the police about foul smell emitting from a house in the area. Police entered the house and found the bodies of the couple and their two-year-old son.

The bodies were taken to Civil Hospital. Quoting hospital officials, police said ropes had been used to strangle the family.

The man was identified as Noor Mohammad and his wife as Ulfat Bibi. They were residents of Sibi.

The sources said that the couple had married against the will of their families about four years ago and moved to Quetta and had rented a house in Killi Almas area.

The bodies were handed over to their families after autopsy.

Police have registered a case against some relatives of Ulfat Bibi.
