GHALANAI/LANDI KOTAL: Four bullet-riddled bodies and an injured person were found in Pandyali tehsil of Mohmand Agency on Monday.

Yakaghund assistant political agent Mohammad Naeem told Dawn that four bodies and an injured person were found at Krapa area on the main Peshawar-Bajaur road. He said one of the deceased was identified as Abdul Raziq of Jamrud area of Khyber Agency, while the rest were unidentified and handed over to Khyber administration.

He said the injured person identified as Ahmed of Khyber Agency and was taken to hospital in Peshawar.

No group has claimed responsibility for the mysterious deaths. Meanwhile, officials in Khyber Agency said that Mohmand Agency officials handed them over three bodies and one injured person. The injured later expired at the THQ hospital in Jamrud, they added.

The officials said the bodies were put at the Jamrud hospital for identification, where one of them was identified as Abdul Raziq who was handed over to his relatives. They said the rest were yet to be identified.

Sources said Shala Baz, father of the deceased, Abdul Raziq, belonged to Sikander Khel tribe and had affiliation with a faction of Lashkar-i-Islam led by Mangal Bagh.
