NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: A man killed his sister in Padidan town near here on Wednesday over a petty domestic dispute and the mother had him arrested.

SHO of Padidan police station, Hayat Chandio, told Dawn that police arrested the murder suspect, Naseer Ahmed Solangi, 21, after his mother Ms Hakima lodged an FIR, accusing him of killing his sister Shahida, 22.

The mother stated in the FIR that the brother and sister had had over a petty domestic issue a day ago at their home in Soomra Muhallah, Naushahro Feroze.

Angered at the brother’s attitude, Shahida went away early on Wednesday morning to live with her sister in Padidan, which further enraged the brother and he went after her armed with a pistol, said the mother.

At their sister’s house, he asked her to accompany him back home but she refused on which he opened fire on her and killed her on the spot, she said.

The SHO said that police shifted the body to hospital which was later handed over to the mother after a post-mortem and the suspect was arrested.
