pESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police and National Testing Service (NTS) on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding to bring transparency in the recruitment of policemen.
The MoU was signed at a ceremony held at the central police office here.Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Nasir Khan Durrani, Additional IGP Headquarters Mian Mohammad Asif, DIG Headquarters Mubarik Zeb Khan and DIG Training Azad Khan, NTS Secretary Waqar Sami Khan, coordinator Salman Durrani and Project Manager Muneeb Khan were present on the occasion, according to a statement.
The statement said that it was for the first time in the history of the country that recruitment of police constables would be carried out through NTS.
Speaking on the occasion, Nasir Durrani said that constables were the backbone of the police force. He hoped that with the induction of constables in a transparent manner not
only competent and educated jawans would be added to the force but they would also serve the nation in a better manner thus, improving its image.
He vowed that as per the policy of the government merit and transparency would be ensured in the force at all levels.
