Blast and firing on Quetta's Sariab road; two injured

QUETTA: An explosion targeting a vehicle of Frontier Corps (FC) personnel occurred on Quetta’s Sariab road, DawnNews reported.

According to DawnNews, the FC vehicle was on patrol near a petrol pump on Sariab road when a loud explosion occurred.

Following which, firing took place. Subsequently, two people sustained injuries.

The blast was heard far and wide.

Police and rescue team personnel reached the site of explosion and reported that the bomb had been planted on a motorcycle.

The convoy of FC personnel remained unharmed from the impact of the explosion.

Two women among four shot dead in Kalat

Four people, including two women, were reportedly shot dead in the Mangochar area of Kalat district.

Levies sources said that unknown armed men opened indiscriminate fire on a family, leaving four persons, including two women dead.

The assailants managed to escape from the scene.

Meanwhile, Levies personnel shifted the bodies to hospital for autopsy.

A case has been registered against the accused.

Further probe was underway.
