LAHORE: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan Thursday reiterated his stance of negotiating with banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) following the killing of SP CID Chaudhry Aslam in Karachi, which was claimed by the terrorist group, DawnNews reported.
Condemning the assassination of the top Karachi cop, while speaking to reporters in Lahore, he said that prevailing violence and killings in the country would not end without pulling out from ‘someone else’s war’.
The Mohmand agency chapter of the TTP claimed responsibility for the attack in Karachi’s Essa Nagri which killed three police officials including Aslam and wounded at least ten others.
At the same time, the cricketer-turned-politician paid tribute to the bravery, commitment and courage of slain police officers and said that it was a great loss for both the police department and the nation.
Demanding immediate inquiry of the incident, he asked Sindh government to bring the ‘culprits’ to the book.
Urging federal and provincial governments to assume an effective yet combined political strategy to deal with the menace of terror, Khan said it was hard to curb these kinds of incidents without restoring law and order across the country especially in Karachi.
“We express solidarity with the bereaved families and stand by the people of Karachi whom Chaudhry Aslam and his associates were endeavoring to protect from permanent threat of terrorism, lawlessness and target killing,” said a statement issued by PTI quoting Imran Khan.
He said that people were fed up with terrorism and suggested dialogue was a better option than fighting with the militants.
“Dialogue is a better option than fighting against Taliban.”
“At least those (Taliban) groups which are ready to negotiate peace should be contacted for talks.”
Speaking about local government polls in his party ruled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, the PTI chief said that current delimitations in KP were effective enough to hold the election. He vowed to hold exemplary LG polls in the province.

It's not only Imran Khan whos talking about dialogue with Taliban.This is decided by all political parties inside and outside the parliament of Pakistan.
But the question here is,"is holding peace talks with the Taliban is that simple?" Moreover "will it really result in peace?
And the answer is "no" a big and loud "NO"
Peace in Pakistan will remain a cherished dream untill the government of Pakistan reviews the following points;
1.Dependent foreign policy
2.Poor Law and order condition
3.Staggering Economy

What would you bargain with them, they are culprits, they are criminals, they are mass killers, they are brutal assasigns ... how in the world do they deserve peace talk.

Isn't it ironic that IK still calls it some one else's war while the people who are dying are all Pakistani. He still wants to negotiate. If only he he had an ounce of Aietzaz Hassan's courage. Prior to the recent federal elections, I was a staunch supporter of Imran Khan and was quite disappointed when he did not win the majority. However, now when I look at his policies, I wonder what his objectives are? He wants to deal with a group, who are mostly uneducated, are extremists, believe in ideologies that defy common sense, are not trustworthy, are merciless and top it all, want to bring our country to the stone ages, when the rest of the world is advancing so rapidly. Sometimes, it is best not to reason with the crazy ones, as you will either become crazy yourself or not achieve anything! They are like cancer and the choice for a civilized society is to either kill it or be consumed by it. Imran Khan is an educated man and I surely hope he can see through it and work on crushing this extremist group, that already has caused so much damage and continues to do so. If we all unite and refuse to give this terrorist group any legitimacy, we can crush them.

Difference between Investigation in USA and Pakistan.
In Pakistan Media do the investigation and their investigation get completed each time after one unknown Phone call from TTP.
In USA during Boston bombing, media was not allowed to spread rumors before the completion of Investigation.
Media is a real hurdle in precise and correct investigation in Pakistan

How exactly can we have a "dialogue" with groups that are killing right and left ? And what exactly will "dialogue's" do? Are we going to convince them to change their practices and surrender to the cops ? I understand the battle is hard, because the police is fighting the people who are hidden and they are not afraid of loosing lives. But, I don't see what benefit will it bring? And why would they reveal themselves?

Mr Khan has become an utter disappointment. This I write with a heavy heart as I considered him to be cut above the rest. He may still have some hope of one day being a saviour for this country ONLY if he can put the country above his ethno/tribal loyalties and also reconsider his stance on state sponsorship of religiosity, as opposed to a secular framework which this country desperately needs in order to survive.

May Allah bless the brave young Aitzaz Hassan, 15, the student in Hangu district, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who sacrificed his life to prevent these terrorists from killing many more.
Terrorists should be dealt with by full force. They should either lay down their arms or face elimination- & be sought out for being eliminated.
This concept of our politicians - especially Mr. Khan to 'talk" to the people to 'achieve peace' who have killed is completely incorrect .
Politicians should abandon this utopian notion. Stand by the law, uphold the law & implement the law. Stand by our Armed Forces & eliminate this nemesis.
