ISLAMABAD: The board of directors of the Privatisation Commission resolved on Wednesday to divest minimum of 26 per cent shares of the Pakistan International Airlines.

A meeting of the board of directors, presided over by Chairman of the Privatisation Commission Mohammad Zubair, also approved initiation of the process for selection of the financial adviser for divestment of PIA shares to a strategic investor. It decided that the interests of PIA employees shall be protected.

The board also directed initiation of the process for strategic sale of the Heavy Electrical Complex and National Power Construction Company.—APP
