ISLAMABAD, Sept 26: Iran on Thursday offered to Pakistan assistance for earthquake victims in Balochistan.

“I wish to convey readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to provide assistance to the people of the brotherly country of Pakistan,” Iranian Ambassador Alireza Haghighian said in a condolence message sent to the government over the deaths and destruction caused by the earthquake.

“I am deeply grieved and express sympathy over the loss of lives and property in the recent earthquake in Balochistan, Pakistan, and present the condolences to the government and the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan,” he said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in a statement expressed grief over the loss of lives and destruction caused by the quake.
