TALK of a cement cartel is no secret. However, if the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) wants to confirm whether a cartel is at work or not, it can check any newspaper of the country. Had the CCP been doing its job properly (nothing extra), the people should have been getting cement bags for at least Rs60/70 cheaper.

Sugar mills should also be checked for running a cartel silently. Or the change of name from monopoly control authority to the CCP implies no more monopoly control?
