LAHORE, Sept 13: Mahoor Shahzad of Sindh upset Sara Mohmand as women’s singles event in the 15th All-Pakistan Aamir Hayat Khan Rokhri ranking badminton tournament entered the semi-final stage here on Friday.

In the men’s singles, national champion Wajid Ali and Umar Zeeshan have qualified for the semi-finals. The other two quarter-finals were in progress when this report was being filed.

Sixteen-year-old Mahoor Shahzad broke the dream of second seed Sara of NBP of qualifying for the semi-final with one of the biggest upset of the tournament.

She played an aggressive game which helped her pose a threat to her senior rival.
