MITHI, Sept 8: The Qaumi Awami Tehrik (QAT) and the Sindh Taraqqi-pasand Party (STP) on Sunday held a joint demonstration outside the local press club for the arrest of all suspects nominated in a gang-rape case lodged by the victim.

Advocate Vasand Thari, Arif Junejo, Devji Bheel and others who led the protest told the media that eight persons barged into a house and gang-raped a woman after overpowering her husband and children in village Baprario.

The woman nominated eight persons in the FIR but only three of them were arrested, they added.

They appealed to the IGP Sindh and the DIG and SSP concerned to ensure arrest of other suspects booked in the case by the Chhachhro police.

They warned that a campaign would be launched if the suspects at large, who appeared to be influential figures of the area, were not arrested and justice was not restored to the victim.
