LONG ago, a Brooklyn court in the US sent summons asking our ISI Chief, Lt Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha, his predecessor Nadeem Taj and Hafiz Saeed (LeT) to appear in a case of attack on Bombay.

Our then PM said that they would not be sent unless they consented to go.

He spoke in the parliament that if they did not want to appear before the court, then no one could force them. Some comments were also made against the top head of our most valuable institution.

The case for which the chief of our ISI was being summoned was the same in which only one actor had survived. He was Ajmal Kasab, the sole survivor of the so-called ten terrorists who attacked Mumbai on the night of Nov 26, 2008.

The story was that some time back, a Pakistani, Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, had made a plan somewhere.

Nobody knew who they were and what plans they made. To start with, India accused Pakistan of having attacked India’s mainland with ten men.

It unleashed a media onslaught at the world level calling it something similar to the 9/11 attacks of 2001. Indians went all out to distort the image of Pakistan by labelling it as the “epicentre of extremism”.

Mr Parnab, the Indian external minister started preparing dossiers against Pakistan. The world did not realise that a 10-man assault could not attack so many targets and kill nearly 170 people.

According to ‘India Today’ of Aug 11, 2008, Muhammad Afzal Guru was then in Tihar Jail in solitary confinement in Delhi.

The Supreme Court of India had fixed Oct 20, 2006 for him to be hanged. He was apprehended for the so-called attack on the Indian Parliament on Dec 13, 2001.

Indian Officer Satish Verma has commendably been very bold in unveiling the truths about parliament 2001, and Mumbai Nov 26, 2008.
