LAHORE: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, in a video-relayed appeal to the voters from his hospital bed, called upon the people of Pakistan to vote for change on May 11.

Addressing a crowd of some 25,000 supporters that had gathered in Islamabad’s D-Chowk on late Thursday night as well as millions of television viewers and web users, the PTI chief, dressed in a hospital gown, called upon the people of Pakistan to vote for ‘their future and their children’s future’.

He urged the voters to bring about a new Pakistan through the power of the ballot box.

Addressing the people of Pakistan, province by province, he urged them to shun politics of the old and take Pakistan towards a new direction.

Speaking to the people of Sindh, he questioned: “How long would you be giving votes and sacrifices on the Bhutto name?” He said that due to this approach, rural areas of Sindh remained one of the least developed parts of Pakistan.

When addressing the people of Karachi, he said that they should come out and vote on May 11 for a new path.

“Parties with militant wings and involvement in extortion can never end extortion and terrorism in the city,” the PTI chief said.

When speaking of Balochistan, he said that the oppressed people of the province must come out of the jungle that the local sardars have put them in.

“Vote for the party that will make a new Pakistan,” Khan said.

“The people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhawa and Fata have made their decision,” he said, adding that “they will come out and vote to bring peace and stability to the region.”

Dear Imran,I am an Indian Doctor, have been working in middle east for more than 20 years. In 1994 I had fallen down from a height in Saudi Arab and fractured seven spine and a crack in the occipital region.I never drink alcohol or take any bad drugs and it was an accident and was admiited in King Khalid Hospital for 39 days.It was a terrific and sad period of my life,But by the Grace of Almighty I am perfectly okay and healthy except some minor health issues.till date.I am confident you will be perfectly fine but it will take some long time till the full recovery.Lilee had problem with his spinal column but recovered and had played a glorious long innings after his recovery.Insaallah you will be get well very soon .I shall pray for you---because prayers go up and the blessings come down.

You cannot compare Imran with Jinnah! Although I support Imran Khan, and pray for his recovery, inshallah he will win the election...but do not insult Mr Jinnah pls.! He was Qaide-AZAM and went through way more sacrifices!!!! Imran himself should tell those few people who refer to him in this catagory to refrain comparing him with BABA-E_AZAM.... .

God has given us one more Jinnah. If you read the history of the world, leaders do not emerge every year. Perhaps may be once or twice in the history of a nation. We are lucky to have two in the last 60 or so years. I urge all Pakistanis to vote. Ask yourself before voting. What kind of country do you and your children want to live in the future. Do you want your children to follow the footsteps of the one you are going to vote for? If the answer is yes and whoever that may be, please vote for that person. God Bless this nation.

Entire Nation is deeply saddened on the most tragic accident of Imran Khan. May Allah bless him with speedy recovery with best of everything. With matured analysis it seems much unlikely that PTI could get clean majority to form a govt because the loyal supporters of PPP and PMLN are not less than the maximum expected voters of PTI to the best of general assessment. In the best interest of PTI and its workers Imran Khan should have made electoral alliance either with PPP or PMLN. to get clean majority and share of some ministers and governors. This would also give him exprience for future election.

Good speech I have lot of hope from him but as a Karachiete I never heard a plan from Imran khan for Karachi about ending of quota system which put a bar on Karachi youth to get a job in government, hiring of local Karachiete in police as currently on fake PRC and domicile most of the police personnel from other provinces got job in Karachi , Karachi share from the revenue it generates, end of land grabbing and clearing of govt land from migrants of other provinces where illegal drug and arms dens are run by these migrants, operation against Taliban in Karachi and other burning issue which we are facing. in past when imran khan was captain of crocket team he showed his hate about players and even fans from karachi and couple of ugly incidents happens. Hope his mindset has changed. Appreciate if someone from PTI central committee share its manifesto about Karachi.

Its high time that we exercise the simplest measure of sanity; that we stop repeatedly voting for the same people while expecting them to govern differently than they have done before. Vote for IMRAN, if just to punish those who have, more than anything else, woven INJUSTICE into our society's fabric.

Irrespective of the fact that by far, Imran Khan seems to be the best and most competent leader in the current Pakistan political scenario, I have least hope that he would be allowed to take charge of the country given the fact that Pakistan unfortunately is too deep in corruption and nepotism. But lets keep our fingers crossed...

The curse of Bhutto and Sharif brothers must come to an end on 11 May. We have suffered long enough at the hands of these self-appointed 'leaders' who in most cases are incompetent, ill-educated or simply 'jahils'. They have no worthwhile contribution that they can boast of yet Imran Khan has always excelled in whatever field he has elected to work upon. Vote for PTI if you desire a better future. Long live Quaid-e-Azam's Pakistan and Imran Khan.

In my family of four everyone supports a different candidate. They all have their reasons and believes.I support Imran khan because he is the only politician who evokes national pride and a sense of better days. I have only heard of a peaceful karachi from my parents and grandparent. As far as I can remeber, each and every political party has abused its powers. I refuse to vote for people who were given a chance to prove their worth and abused it.I am willing to take my chance with someone who does not belong to a feudal system, nor a political or industrial dynasty or have been associated with our ever present Army.

We should have a State in which we could live and breathe as free men and which we could develop according to our own lights and culture and where principles of Islamic social justice could find free play, the words of our great founder of Pakistan...But these words are just written on a paper, or maybe in a book and yet anyone followed it? Where is the country that our founder dream about? Before you vote for anyone, think about what our leader and the founder this nation wanted for us? Don't vote just because of your personal prestige, or belonging or because your friend or family told you so....Vote for the candidate that you think is most qualified to honor our great founder's words. Vote for a candidate that is working for our national interest, who will secure a nation that is free, and that is stable. Vote for the candidate that want to remove the corruptions from the roots of Pakistan. Vote for a candidate that will held the Islamic Social Justice, that is equality, among everyone under the law; Not the one that just worried about the elite class, and himself. Look all the candidates and see which party has a system in which it promise that they will remove the corruption, impose proper justice, and make the whole nation pay the proper tax. I'm in the US, and believe me....one of the prime reason this nation is economically stable, because all of it citizens are due to pay the proper tax, once the government can generate enough revenue, they will never go broke, and eventually will help its people accomplish the goals, and develop a free country, in which everyone can breathe as a free man, just like our great founder Muhammad Ali Jannah visioned.

The youth of Pakistan, I as a proud Pakistani cannot use my constitutional right to vote in tomorrow’s elections, I therefor ask my brothers and sisters in Pakistan to use their vote wisely and vote for CHANGE. I have been traveling the world on business since the 70’s and have seen respect and trust in Pakistan deteriorate dramatically. We are the sixth most populated country in the world with just over 180 million citizens, but as far as the rest of the world is concerned we are a joke, no one takes us seriously. The world is talking about the BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), why shouldn’t Pakistan be in that exclusive club of fast growing economies? The reason is that our leaders have been corrupt and dishonest. See where the world is heading today and in Pakistan we are determined to go back to the dark ages. I believe that the single most important reason for the terrible state that Pakistan finds itself in is that NO previous government has paid any attention to EDUCATION. The ONLY country that respects Pakistani today is Turkey; I as a Pakistani don’t get the same respect in my country Pakistan that I get in Turkey. Look at Turkey, what they have achieved economically and politically on the world stage in last two decades. Why can’t we be like them? Tomorrow is our day of reckoning lets vote for a new Pakistan and vote with our heads rather than our hearts. Vote for Imran Khan.
