NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, March 22: Armed men injured a policeman and his driver when the car they were travelling in came under attack in Khalidabad Korai village on Thursday morning.

Sub-Inspector Abdul Haq Korai and his driver Ghulam Mustafa Korai were going to Police Line Naushahro Feroze when the incident took place. The two had hardly travelled a kilometre from their village when unidentified men opened fire, injuring the driver seriously.

Injured police official Abdul Haq Korai said that he was going to police line Naushahro Feroze to get relieved as he was transferred to Ghotki.

They came under attack as they were driving at slow speed due to reconstruction of the road, he said.

The attackers were already there, he added.—BoC
