PESHAWAR, Dec 31: Police and security forces in a joint operation on Saturday arrested seven suspected persons, including some proclaimed offenders, in limits of Khwajawas police station of Shabqadar and recovered weapons from them.

“We had information that the accused had returned to their homes, located along the border of Mohmand Agency,” the concerned SHO Sajjad Khan said and added that the alleged criminals had fled the area some time back due to fear of arrest.

He did not disclose names of the accused, however said that four Kalashnikovs, two rifles, three pistols, hundreds of rounds and hashish had also been recovered from their possession.—Bureau
