LAHORE, Dec 19: An additional district and sessions judge on Monday allowed two-day time to Nawab Town police for submission of a reply to a petition filed by the brother of actress Sapna Khan seeking registration of a criminal case against former chief minister Dost Khosa and others on charges on hurling life threats. Petitioner Muhammad Ameen Khan alleged he was on his way home on Nov 9 when some unidentified persons intercepted him and introduced themselves as men of Dost Khosa.

He said they, including Haider Bokhari and Rana Tanveer Ahmad, conveyed to him a message of Khosa that if his father, Missal Khan, did not withdraw petition for the recovery of Sapna, the whole family would be eliminated. He alleged that activities of his whole family were being monitored by unidentified armed men. The petitioner prayed to the court to order the police to register a case against the former chief minister and his associates.

Earlier, the Johar Town police had told the court that the alleged incident stated by the petitioner did not take place within their jurisdiction but Nawab Town police’s.

At this the judge had sought reply from the Nawab Town SHO for Monday but he sought more time from the court to file his reply. The judge accepted the request and adjourned hearing till Dec 21.
