Woman shot dead

TAXILA, July 8: A woman was killed and her husband was critically injured when some unknown persons opened fire at them while they were sleeping in the courtyard of their house in village Brhama in the limits of Wah Cantonment police station on Thursday evening.

Police sources said that Wajid Shah along with his wife Imtiaz Begum was sleeping in the courtyard of his house when unknown assailants after scaling the wall of their house opened indiscriminate fire at them. Resultantly both received multiple injuries. Imtiaz Begum died on the way to the hospital while Wajid Shah admitted to a local hospital in critical condition. Wah Cantonment police handed over the body to her relatives after autopsy at THQ hospital Taxila and registered a case against the unknown assailants. — Correspondent

3 children injured in accident

ISLAMABAD, July 8: As many as three children were injured when a bus plunged into a deep ditch near old Lari Adda at Kart Road, Murree on Friday.

According to details, a passenger bus was on way when it plunged into a deep ditch due to the slippery on the road. As a result, three children were injured in the incident. Rescue teams reached the spot and started shifting the injured to nearby hospital. — APP

Vehicle lifted

CHAKWAL, July 8: A vehicle was lifted from Tatral village, police said on Friday. Advocate Shahzad Butt told Saddar police that he parked his car in front of his house. On Thursday night, some unknown thieves lifted his vehicle. After registering a case, the police started efforts to trace the culprits. — Correspondent
