KARACHI: KU to hold BCom exams after Eid

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Dec 3: The University of Karachi has postponed BCom exams to a date after Eid-ul-Azha, falling here on December 9.

However, all other papers including those of BA, BSc and BDS exams scheduled for Thursday would be held as per plan, the university’s controller of examinations Prof Maqsood Hussain said on Wednesday.

Biochemistry exam of MBBS Part-A, which was postponed on Dec 1 due to the law and order situation, would be held on Dec 5, he said, adding that the centre and time of the exam would remain the same.

Besides, he said, the schedule of degree class exams to be held on Dec 13 would remain unchanged.

About some proposed changes in examination centres for regular candidates of BCom exams, Prof Hussain said the names of new centres would be notified within a couple of days so that candidates could know about those much before resumption of their exams.

Relocation of the examination centres was proposed by female candidates and their parents, who complained that the examination centres were far from their residences and a few of those were located in areas that recently witnessed violence.
