KARACHI, Nov 20: The State Bank of Pakistan on Thursday waived the 35 per cent cash margin requirement on opening of letters of credit (LCs) for importing of 270 items which include food, animal, vegetables, nitrates, iron ore and scores of raw materials required the export industry.

The central bank had recently exempted 19 items, mostly related to textile industry, from the LC margin condition.
