KARACHI, April 26: The Sindh government transferred on Saturday the chief controller of the Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA), Rauf Akhtar Farooqi, and posted the controller of building (town planning), Manzoor Qadir, in his place.

A notification in this regard was issued directing Mr Farooqi to quit the charge and report to the Sindh local government department.

Mr Qadir is the senior-most officer in Grade 19 after Mr Farooqi. He is believed to be on a cordial footing with Local Government Minister Agha Siraj Durrani.
