KARACHI, April 26: The city remained in the grip of an intense heatwave with a slight decline in the mercury level on Saturday.

The maximum temperature recorded on Saturday was 42.8 degrees centigrade as against Friday’s 42.9 degrees centigrade, according to the meteorological office. The minimum temperature was 23 degrees centigrade with humidity recorded at 11 per cent.
