KARACHI: Hearing put off

KARACHI, April 11: The hearing of a corruption case against a former assistant excise and taxation officer, Sindh, Mohammad Ashraf Shaheen, was adjourned on Friday to a date in office.

The accused is facing trial before the Accountability Court-V for allegedly amassing wealth beyond his known sources of income.

The Accountability Court-I, Karachi also adjourned the hearing of an application moved by an accused under Section 265- K till April 17.

The case pertains to the alleged allotment of KPT land worth Rs3,000 million against a sum of Rs204.97 million to influential politicians and others at throwaway prices.—APP
