KARACHI, April 5: The Jinnah Award for the year 2007 and 2006 will be conferred on former Dawn editor Ahmad Ali Khan and founder of the Tehrik-i-Istiqlal Air Marshal (retd) Asghar Khan, respectively, in recognition of their valuable services to the country.

The award, instituted by the Jinnah Society, will be presented at function to be held in a local hotel on May 30.

The recipients of the award for the earlier years are Abdul Sattar Edhi, Hakim Mohammad Said, Graham Layton, Dr Ruth Pfau, Dr Ishrat Hussain and Dr Akhtar Hameed Khan.
