KARACHI, April 3: A meeting presided over by City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal here on Thursday decided to dismantle the old pipeline supplying water to Federal ‘B’ Industrial Area from Friday and start grant of connections through the Water Board to individual industrial units from the newly-laid lines the same day.

The KWSB will set up a special camp in the industrial area where connections will be granted immediately.KWSB MD, EDO works and services and office-bearers of the F ‘B’ Industrial Area Association were among those present at the meeting.

The association was asked to ensure that all industrial consumers seek water connections and be brought into the KWSB net.

Mr Kamal said that after completing entire underground work, construction of roads and streets in the area would be undertaken.

He made it clear that road construction work would be started after the process of installing water connection was over and no one would be allowed to dig up road for water connection once the process was completed.—APP
