Port Qasim

KARACHI, Feb 22: Six ships carrying containers, edible oil, wheat and iron ore were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 60 per cent at the wharves where seven ships, Dubai, Puget, Westama, African Halcyon, Rio Gold, Navioshios and Kaghan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, palm oil, wheat and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 45,566 tons comprising 36,398 tons of import and 9,168 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was slow as only Gemini left the port while Dubai and Puget were expected to depart.
