Two missiles land near PAF base runway

By Ali Hazrat Bacha

PESHAWAR, Dec 9: Two missiles fired early on Sunday landed near the runway of the PAF base here, one in the Tehkal area and the other close to the PAF Degree College.

According to an ISPR statement, four missiles had been fired.

A police official said the missiles seemed to have been fired from Mian Khan Ghari in the Nasir Bagh police area, near Jamrud in Khyber Agency. Missiles were fired from the area also in the past, he said.

SSP (operations) Tahir Khan said three missiles, and not four, had been fired.

Asked if any group was involved in the attack, he said it was an organised crime and could not have been committed by an individual.

The missiles damaged the wall and windows of a building near the runway.
