KARACHI, Nov 16: Nine ships carrying steel plates, general cargo and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Iran Tabatabaei, Y.M. Xiamen, Wadi Al-Rayan to unload and load containers, Sermene-4 to offload DAP fertiliser and Sea Tank,an oil tanker were berthed on Friday.

Six ships, Cap Colorado, Hyundai Highway, Emirate Jumeirah, Wehr Rissan, Noor-e-Madina, Iroquots Maiden were departed, while Wadi Al-Rayan, Sea Tank, Iran Tabatabaei, Pacific Carrier and Chi Feng Kou are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.109m tons comprising 34,692 tons of export cargo and 74,034 tons of import cargo was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Gulf Tiger, Oel Trust, Jitra Bhum, Tenga Kenari, Ninos, Gulf Bridge, Harmony, Calvin P. Titus with containers and C. Glaxy with steel plates.
