KARACHI Nov 1: Ten ships including three to load cement and clinker are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was slow where only one ship, Acx Tsubald to unload and load containers was berthed after the departure of Bunga Terasek, Rising Om and Ntctec.

Seven others vessels including Alud, Sinar Bintan, APL Amman, Oel Spirit, Notori Dake, Sea Princess and Lastos are expected to sail out on Friday.

Owing to slow berthing, total tonnage handled also fell to 69,791 tons comprising 27,074 tons of export cargo including 2,485 tons of rice and 7,337 tons of cement and 42,117 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Friday: Southern Bull with chemicals, Hansa Stanvanger, Sima Sabba, Oel Shreyas and Tenib Ocean with containers, ITC Golden, Ocean Frontier to load clinkers, Lucky Arrow to load cement, Aqua Star with general cargo and Asha Himant with sulphur.
