PESHAWAR: Police claim to have recovered doctor

PESHAWAR, Aug 27: The police on Monday recovered a doctor working for the Basic Health Unit in Mathra. They claimed that he was freed without paying any ransom. According to a press release issued by the capital city police, Dr Inamul Haq, son of Mehboobul Haq, had been kidnapped and was kept in the Regi area. His kidnappers had demanded ransom for his release.

According to the police, the law-enforcement officials raided a number of places in the Regi area, scaring off the kidnappers who released the doctor before they could shift him to the tribal areas.
