Consultants to conduct study for PIDC

KARACHI, July 6: Internationally reputable consultants will be appointed for conducting a study for development of infrastructure for transportation and storage of imported coal in the coastal areas of Pakistan.

The board of directors of Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) has given approval to this appointment in a meeting chaired by federal minister for industries and production Jahangir Khan Tareen here on Friday.

Secretary ministry of industries Shahab Khawaja and other members of the board also attended the meeting.

The board also reviewed and approved the revised cost of Rs550 million for Karachi Tool Dies and Moulds Centre (KTDMC).

KTDMC is being established to upgrade technologies of the existing local vendor industry and to facilitate country's prospective development by creating enabling environments for industries to compete in the post WTO scenario.—APP
