KARACHI, May 10: Four ships carrying containers and to load rice and cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where seven ships, Harmony, Al-Manakh, Hyundai Highway, Y.M. Fortune to unload and load containers, Diamond Progress to load cement, Chemstar Brave to load ethanol and Rickmers Chennai to offload steel cargo were berthed.

Sailing was active as seven ships, Olympic, Tower Bridge, Al-Manakh, Iran Hesabi, Ashraf-B and APL Brisbane left the port while Harmony, Sagodha, Hyundai Highway, Rickmers Chennai, Asian Queen, Nyzdan and Tarpon Santiago are due to sail out on Friday.A total tonnage of 48,227 tons comprising 17,393 tons of export cargo including 8,415 tons of cement and 30,834 tons of import cargo was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Eric G. Gibson, Comorin Pride with containers, Id Trader to load 8,050 tons of rice and Sea Princess to load 19,000 tons of cement.
