KARACHI, April 23: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has warned the lawmakers, nazims and councillors belonging to the party against corruption otherwise strict disciplinary action would be taken against them.

In his telephonic address from London to a general workers’ meeting held simultaneously in Karachi and Hyderabad the other day, the MQM chief directed the party workers to start preparation for the next general elections so as to emerge victorious not only from Sindh but from all other provinces.

Besides a large number of MQM workers, the meeting was also attended by City Nazim Mustafa Kamal and District Nazim Kanwar Naveed in Karachi and Hyderabad respectively.

Mr Hussain urged the Haq Parast town and UC nazims to pay special attention towards public complaints. He gave them a month’s deadline to bring improvement in the state of cleanliness in Karachi and Hyderabad.
