KARACHI, April 20: Five ships carrying containers, chemicals, edible oil and LPG arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Berthing activity was modest as two ships were accommodated berths. A total of six ships, Dubai, Noor-e-Mustafa, Jupiter Applause, Bow Plata, Grigo Roussia and Chemstar Hero, were busy in loading and unloading containers, wheat, canola seeds, edible oil, furnace oil and chemicals.

A cargo volume of 76,404 tons comprising 70,108 tons of import and 6,296 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Dubai, Chemstar Hero and Bow Plata left the port.
