KARACHI, April 20: Six ships including two cement loaders are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Hyderabad to unload and load general cargo, Sinar Agra, a tanker, APL Orhid, Comorin Pride and Oel Victory with containers were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships which departed included Hyundai Future, Y.M. Sun, Banglor Mookh and Chem Baltic, while APL Orchid, Comorin Pride, Red Sea Spirit, Oel Esteem and Oel Victory are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the port remained light falling to 37,887 tons comprising 16,081 tons of export cargo including 2,649 tons of rice and 4,144 tons of cement and 21,806 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Asian Queen and Nafto-Cement-11 to load 20,000 and 12,000 tons of cement respectively, Orient Independence, Bunga Delima, Iran Sattari and Aka Bhum with containers.
