KARACHI, April 18: A UAE firm has shown interest in investing in the city’s sewerage treatment system along with setting up of desalination, solar energy and power generating plants.

The head of the UAE firm expressed his interest during a meeting with City Nazim Mustafa Kamal on Wednesday. UAE Consul General Sohail Mutar Saeed Al Yaktabi and officials of the city government were also present.

The nazim assured the firm that the city government will extend every possible support. It was decided that the firm would prepare feasibility reports of the projects concerned.

CLINTON FOUNDATION: The nazim met a three-member delegation of the Clinton Foundation, led by Conor Riffle, at his office.

He informed the delegates about several mega projects being undertaken by the city government. The delegation appreciated steps taken to check pollution and improvement of overall working conditions.
