KARACHI: Robber arrested

KARACHI, April 17: A citizen caught a robber and two of his accomplices managed to escape in Landhi here on Tuesday.

Police said that Iqbal, a truck driver and his cleaner were at work to repair their truck which broke down on National Highway in Shah Latif police limits while proceeding towards Karachi.

Three robbers on a motorbike approached and deprived them of their cash and belongings.

As they sat on their motorbike to run away, Iqbal hit a robber with a blunt weapon. His two accomplices got panicky and fled.

The injured robber was later identified as Asif, who was admitted to a hospital in police custody. The police are locating the absconding suspects.
